game from June 15. Brecker Acosta got the win in relief. Panther micues proved costly in the second game as the
Wildcats split the season series. Orange is 6-2 on the season.

A&T’s Marquis Riley earned Rookie of the Week
Riley (2B, 5-11,
Fr., Orange HS and Efland, North Carolina) batted .550 (11-for-20) last week to aid the Aggies to a 3-2 mark. In a three-game
series sweep of Savannah State, Riley tallied three home runs, two doubles and seven RBI. He added 13 putouts
and 15 assists during the five game stretch.

mound. Orange improves to 5-1 and 2-0 in the Mid-State 2A.
Cowboys Ride Panthers' Errors to 10-7 Win
Orange fell to a tough Southwest Guilford baseball team on Saturday. The Panthers scored seven runs on eight
hits but could not overcome five defensive miscues to fall to 4-1.
Orange and NCSSM Suspended in the
top of the fifth due to rain. Game will be completed on April 21 at OHS before a the regularly scheduled game.
Games will start at 6:00.

2009 Varsity Baseball Schedule Released
The 2009 Orange Panthers baseball team will host 16 home games this spring, including three days
of the Hilltop Invitational Tournament. The Panthers Mid-State 2A Conference schedule will include 5 teams that made
the state playoffs last year (Northwood, Cedar Ridge, Graham, Cardinal Gibbons and Science and Math). The defending state
champions will also host East Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, Bartlett Yancey and Southwest Guilford. The Panthers will
participate in the Impact Baseball High School Tournament held at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary early
in the season. Orange will also travel to former PAC-6 rival and traditional 4A power Jordan High School. Check
