2012 Varsity Baseball Schedule Released
The 2012 Orange High baseball schedule is now on-line here at www.orangepanthersbaseball.com. Click on the schedule link to download a printable copy. In addition to the challenging Carolina 3A schedule,
the Panthers will have at least 16 games against teams that appeared in the 2011 state playoffs. Jordan High School
highlights the non-conference schedule as the Falcons return most of their roster from a 20-4 team from 2011. Orange
will renew old rivalries with Northern Durham and Eastern Alamance in 2012, and the Panthers will continue playing traditional
rivals Cedar Ridge, East Chapel Hill and Graham. Panther Creek from the powerful 4A Tri-Nine Conference will
visit the Hillsborough early March. Familiar faces will be the opposing dugout at times this season as Torrey
Pettiford, Northern Durham assistant (OHS player); Daniel Hall, Panther Creek head coach (OHS assistant); and Jacson
Lowe, Cedar Ridge head coach (OHS assistant) face their old school. Orange will host three days of the annual Hilltop
Invitational Tournament over spring break. The Panthers will open the tournament against Maury High School from Norfolk,
Virginia.
